You can submit your favourite recipe via email uzgavenes@malsena.lt until February 17, 2017. The authors of 4 chosen recipes are going to be invited to Pancake Day Festival in Rumšiškės, where they will be given the opportunity to win the grand prize – a selection of various Malsena’s flour mixes and flours.

Just before Christmas, Representatives of the President of the Republic of Lithuania and children of Vievis Day Care Centre gathered in Malsena to bake traditional Christmas Eve cookies. With this event Malsena officially joined nationwide social campaign “For A Safe Lithuania” and became the sponsor of Vievis Children Day Care Centre.
Malsena is delighted to be a part of the nationwide campaign, initiated by the President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, and sincerely hope that the meeting with the children from Day Care Centre turns into a long lasting friendship.
The event held on the 20th of December marked the enrollment into campaign and closed the Educational Christmas Eve Cookies Baking Program which lasted more than a month and drew more than 1 500 kids from kindergartens and schools of Lithuania. Yet, the project is not the last meet-up for Malsena and kids from Day Care Centre – we cannot wait to invite children to participate in upcoming projects and activities.

Almost for ten years now, from late November till Christmas, Malsena invites pupils of various schools and kindergartens from all around Lithuania to participate in non-profit educational program where they learn to make traditional Christmas Eve cookies.
We are really glad that every year we get to educate a new wave of Little Bakers – this year it’s more than 1 500 pupils! All Christmas Eve cookies baked by the little ones could be lined in a 7 000 m length snake, weighing almost 300 kg!
In 2016, the honorable name of Little Bakers of Christmas Eve cookies was given to children from cities and towns of:
Vilnius with 446 little bakers and 1 784 m cookie snake, weighing 90 kg
Vievis – 314 little bakers, 1 256 m snake, weighing 63 kg
Kaunas – 149 little bakers, 596 m snake, weighing 30 kg
Elektrenai – 90 little bakers, 360 m snake, weighing 18 kg
Not to forget schools and kindergartens of Kaisiadoriai, Lentvaris, Pylimai, Rumsiskes, Trakai, Trakau Voke and Ukmergė.
