Ingredients of mix for traditional Lithuanian "ŽEMAIČIŲ" PANCAKES - potato powder, superior grade wheat flour, modified potato starch, egg powder, salt. One package is enough for 15-16 pancakes.
Packaging of "Žemaičių" pancakes mix:
- laminated sachets of 400 g
- paper bags of 10 or 25 kg
Shelf life: 8 months from the date of production.
Preparation: slowly pour the contents of the package and mix into 500 ml of cold water. Leave the paste for 5-7 min to mature. Make cakes from the produced mass, place the prepared filling in the centre, form pancakes and fry in fat. Serve the prepared pancakes with sour-cream and butter dressing.
Meat filling: add fried onions to smothered minced meat, flavour the mass with pepper and salt.
Carrots filling: fry sliced onions and carrots grated in large pieces in oil. Flavour with spices.
The filling can be made from stewed pickled cabbage, mushrooms fried in oil.
