"Malsena" is one of the biggest and most modern grain processing industrial group in Lithuania. Having mastered the modern milling technology, the company produces a wide range of products: different types of wheat and rye flour, flour mixes, wheat germ and bran.
Advanced technologies allow the group to adjust itself to the ongoing demands of the market and deliver the highest quality products to the consumers. The customers’ requirements are the main instigators motivating "Malsena" to expand its product range on a regular basis.
The new products – flour mixes for pancakes, dessert crepes and pizzas- were introduced at the end of 2000. The same year the flour mixes were awarded the title “Lithuanian Product of the Year”.
Production of mixes for cakes and sponge-cake commenced in April of 2001. The flour mixes for pancakes were awarded golden medal at the “Agrobalt’2001” exhibition. Production of new mixes for "zeppelins" and potato pancakes was started in June 2002 gaining the title of the “Product of the Year” for "Malsena".
In 2004 pasta production was started in Panevezys (later succeed to doughter company "Amber pasta") and finished reconstruction of Vievis mill.
The new direction of activity, chosen by the company in 2005, is also related to grain processing. It is the production of wheat starch, gluten and granulated fodder.
At the end of 2008 one more very impotant thing happened in company's history - wheat stach, glutent, granulated fodder production in Panevėžys was separated to new named company AB "Amilina", and old traditions having flour business continuing and developing further by UAB "Malsena plius", based in Vievis.
In 2009, "Malsena Plus" was awarded as the most popular flour supplier in Lithuania. Buyers rated "Malsena Plus" products: the most popular flour in 2009 - Wheat flour "Malsena" and the most popular flour mixture 2009 - Mixture for crepes.
In the future "Malsena plius" is expecting to please its consumers with new products which will introduce more variety to their cuisine.
Good technical basis, efficient management and concerted efforts of the employees are the guarantee for the success and stable position of the "Malsena plius".
